You are like the distant star

That appears so close, but is still so far

You light up the galaxy with your light

& accompany me in my lonely nights

Your shine even from a distance;

Keeps my soul alive..

But some of the days when I stretch my hand to feel your warmth next to me,

My hands render empty, except the gravel & sand and the noise of lonely distant sea.

When I want to look into your eyes and say I feel safe near you,

You're not even there to hold me tight & say " I'm glad! Cause I'll always be there for you."

Why my dreams and hope can't come true?

Why I can't be with you?

Why the distance between us is too much; to reach you, to hold you,to feel you,embrace you & to say I love you!!

I know I am a lost cause, that someday even you may laugh at me and say" Don't you know? All the fantasies need not to be true... All love stories may not end up good!!"

"So wake up! And move on..."

But what I'm gonna do with this stupid heart that even after thousand attempts and million pleas; STILL BEATS JUST FOR YOU!

I know I may never have you, may never even meet you, never be able to say that I once loved you, No....actually I STILL LOVE YOU!!

But I want you to know that; my love is pure, even if it's incomplete!!

Just like the night that longed for the day, but.....could never meet!!
